Mark D. Duncan, 68
Mark D. Duncan, 68, died on Sept. 28, 2014, at the George E. Wahlen Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City.
Mark was born in Kalispell on June 17, 1946, to Ollie and Idalyne Duncan.
He graduated from Flathead High School in 1965, and then joined the Navy. He served in Vietnam until he was medically discharged and returned home.
Mark lived and worked in Libby for many years where he worked for St. Regis Plywood. Eventually he moved back to Kalispell to care for his parents in their own home until their passing.
His love of his family, his friends and his many animals was unlimited. Mark always had at least one dog and some sort of farm animals at his place.
He is survived by his two sons, Brandon and Shawn, both of Kalispell; his brother, Jerry Duncan of Libby; sister, Linda Kalland in Tacoma, Wash.; nieces and nephews in Washington; and dear friends and extended family.
A memorial is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at the VFW, 330 First Ave. W., in Kalispell.
