Whitefish seeks to fill committee openings

The city of Whitefish is trying to fill several committee vacancies and has set a Friday, Oct. 10 deadline for applicants.

The Whitefish Housing Authority has one opening to fill the remainder of a term that expires Dec. 31. That position then continues for five years through 2019. It’s open to city residents or residents within a 10-mile radius of Whitefish.

The Future City Hall Steering Committee has a position open to fill the remainder of a term that expires Jan. 31, 2015. It’s open to Whitefish city residents.

The Weed Control Advisory Committee, open to Whitefish residents, has one two-year term open.

The Impact Fee Advisory Committee has one two-year term open for a person from the development community. Applicants should live or work in Whitefish. The committee meets once a year.
