C-Falls girls, Whitefish boys host Class A soccer playoff matches

Regular-season champions Columbia Falls and Whitefish open the Class A soccer playoffs with home matches on Saturday.

The Columbia Falls girls, winners of the Northern Division three of the last four years, will play Stevensville at 2 p.m. at Flip Darling Field.

The Whitefish boys will entertain Hamilton at 2 p.m. at Smith Fields.

Also advancing from the Northern are: Bigfork and Libby boys and Whitefish and Polson girls.

The Libby boys play at Corvallis at 2 p.m. while Bigfork will play at the winner of today’s Stevensville at Belgrade play-in match.

The Whitefish girls have a 2 p.m. date at Hamilton while the Polson girls will play at the winner of today’s Belgrade at Laurel play-in match.

Semifinal action will be held Oct. 25 with the championship matches on Nov. 1.

Final regular-season standings are on B5.
