Police called for road rage
A group of rowdy youths on Treeline Road drew the attention of the Kalispell Police Department. A driver saw the young people yelling at cars, and it appeared they were drinking and trying to hide their drinks. They stepped in front of the caller and tried to accost him. When officers arrived, they discovered it was a road rage incident and no one was drinking. No charges were filed.
A woman on Fourth Avenue East received an unusual delivery when someone dropped a blue heeler puppy into her fenced backyard. It was picked up by animal control.
The manager of a hotel on U.S. 93 noticed an unusual amount of foot traffic in one room and he suspected drug activity. When he and an officer investigated, he found the man was not abiding by the rules and was evicted.
A couple of teenagers were swerving all over Wolfpack Way in their blue Suzuki with no headlights turned on. The passenger threw up out the window but the driver was sober. The vomiter was cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol and was given a ride home.
The owner of a white Nissan on Seventh Avenue East complained that when she woke up, her car was covered in ketchup.
A caller reported several people had tried to break into the Veterans Affairs clinic on Three Mile Drive and had left things such as razor blades behind where they had tried to get in.
A young woman tried to help several 13-year-old girls who were smoking with a 20-year old man, but the man pulled a knife on her.
A teenager was baby-sitting at a home on Grandview Drive when she noticed a strange shadow and called the police to report trespassing. The children stayed at a neighbor’s house until the parents returned.
A 16-year old boy punched his father in the face on Northwest Lane because he had taken away the boy’s electronic cigarette.
A man assaulted a woman’s boyfriend at a bar in Evergreen, declaring he would kill him. The attacker was arrested and it was determined he had an outstanding warrant in Oregon for which he would be held.
Whitefish Police wanted to help a landlord on Lupfer Avenue evict his tenants who had not paid rent in months, but the landlord was told to continue with the legal process before he could be assisted by the police.
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office responded to calls for a water rescue in Bigfork near Bay Drive at 8:07 a.m. Sunday.
