Volleyball: Wolfpack defeat Bruins in 3

Glacier (20-1 overall, 9-0 Western AA) took care of business against visiting Helena Capital (11-8, 7-2), beating the No. 4 ranked team in three sets 25-18, 26-24, 25-19 in a conference volleyball match on Friday.

The second-ranked Wolfpack handled Capital in the first and third sets and edged them in the second for the sweep.

Katie Wiley had a match-high 15 hills and Hailee Bennett had 17 digs for Glacier.

Kayla Russell had a team-high three blocks and three aces for the Wolfpack and Hannah Liss had all 35 assists.

“I was really proud of the girls,” Glacier coach Christy Harkins said.

“To come out and have a strong showing against a team like Capital is great.”

Glacier plays Helena High (6-13, 3-7) today. The Bengals beat Flathead on Friday.
