Volleyball: Glacier sweeps Hellgate

MISSOULA — Glacier moved a step closer to putting together back-to-back perfect seasons together in Western AA play by downing Missoula Hellgate 25-15, 25-15, 25-23 on Thursday evening.

Glacier, second ranked in the AA power poll, is now 22-1 overall, 11-0 league.

Glacier went 12-0 in Western AA action last year.

The Wolfpack closes league play and the regular season on Thursday versus visiting Missoula Big Sky.

By claiming the division title, Glacier has a bye into the state tournament next month in Bozeman.

Glacier led in all five statistical areas versus Hellgate (9-10, 5-6). Glacier had 10 more kills than the Knights with 36. Brielle Bumgarner had a match best 12 for the Wolfpack.

Blocks favored Glacier 9-4. Katie Wiley had four for Glacier.

Hailee Bennett led in two statistics, 18 digs and two aces.
