Shelter offers special pit-bull event

 Interested in adopting a pit bull and learning more about this breed? 

The Flathead County Animal Shelter is hosting an Adopt a Bull adoption event and open house from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 6 at the shelter, 225 Cemetery Road off of U.S. 93 South in Kalispell. 

All pit-bull adoptions will be 50 percent off.

Aditi Terpstra, an expert animal behavior consultant and certified professional dog trainer, will speak about pit-bull behavior and how best to train pit bulls.

There will be fun family activities, face painting, food and prizes.
