Curtis is real deal
We had heard about Amanda Curtis, that she was diligent about reporting the daily events of the Montana legislature on her blog and that she was an active, productive representative and a dynamic teacher.
It was apparent that she was popular with her fellow Montanans because of the support that she had garnered during the nomination process at the Democratic Nominating Convention in Helena.
We met her in Kalispell last week and heard what she said about the working class and realized the reality of her being one of us. She is gentle, well-spoken, and a sincere and caring young woman who is aware of the need to have honest, hard working Montanans represented by someone who is schooled in the issues of what we need and want — access to public lands, good public schools, a living wage for our hard working citizens, and women’s issues handled with integrity.
We were also impressed by her and her husband’s commitment to contact as many constituents as possible. Fresh, young handsome faces in Washington would certainly be worthy of attention and give voice to the concerns of this magnificent state. —Marcia Thomsen, Bigfork
