Montana Tech aims to double enrollment
BUTTE — Montana Tech recruiters are traveling the nation with the aim of doubling the Butte school’s enrollment over the next decade.
The Montana Standard reports the university now enrolls approximately 2,700 students per semester.
Montana Tech’s four recruiters are traveling to at least nine states this semester. They head to areas with mining and oil development and others with connections to Oredigger alumni.
They are touting statistics such as the 80 percent of students who receive financial aid and the school’s 93 percent job placement rate.
Director of recruiting Stephanie Crowe says the recruiters are selling Montana, the smallness of the school, the job placement and the return on their investment.
