College fairs coming to Kalispell, Polson
High school students and people seeking post-secondary education opportunities will have the chance to do one-stop shopping at upcoming college fairs in Polson and Kalispell.
The Montana college fair tour will make a stop at Polson High School from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Sept. 24. About 200 students from five high schools are expected to attend.
The next local stop will be at Flathead High School from 8:15 to 11:30 a.m. Sept. 25. An estimated 1,300 students from 13 high schools are expected to attend. Both college fairs will be held in the gyms of the schools.
Students may visit with representatives from in-state and out-of-state colleges and universities, technical and trade schools and military branches. High school juniors and seniors will also be able to enter drawings for a $1,000 scholarship.
Although the fairs are geared to high school students, they are open to the general public. Parents are encouraged to also attend.
The college fairs are sponsored by the Montana Post Secondary Educational Opportunities Council.
