Woman's toes 'blown off' by shotgun
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a call Tuesday morning from a man on Ace Drive in Columbia Falls who said a shotgun went off and hit a woman. He elaborated, saying the woman’s toes were “blown off.” The woman then got on the phone and said her toes were gone, but she “wasn’t supposed to say who did this” but that it was an accident. Some of the toes were brought to the hospital in case doctors could reattach them.
A couple was reported for sleeping in a vehicle on Cougar Trail in Whitefish.
A woman had her purse stolen out of her vehicle on Kings Way in Kalispell.
A bull showed up at a Coram residence Monday night.
Two dogs were “going after” construction workers on U.S. 2 West in Kalispell. Construction workers threatened to “take care of the dogs with a shovel” if they approached the workers again.
Vandalism was reported at a Kalispell hotel on Montclair Drive. Someone had spray-painted a guest’s vehicle and a storage shed.
A Whitefish woman called police saying that a “truckload of men” were at her residence threatening to beat up her son on Tuesday.
Police were called to a Hungry Horse location when an argument between a father and son turned physical.
An older lady was reported for roaming around her apartment complex and attempting to get into other people’s homes just after 1 a.m. Wednesday in Kalispell.
Whitefish Police were called when a woman said her neighbor is throwing food out for animals, and “now there are a ton of crows that come in the yard.”
A woman stole clothing from a Central Avenue store Tuesday, but an employee realized what she had done and chased her down the street and got the stolen items back.
A disturbing call came in to the Columbia Falls Police Department on Tuesday when a woman said two dogs were in distress at a Second Avenue East residence. The dogs had gotten tangled up in their leashes, and the caller said it looked like one of them was going to die because one of the wires was tangled around its neck. The owner of the dogs is on oxygen and was unable to get them untangled by himself. Police officers cut the dogs free with bolt cutters, and both dogs seemed fine.
The Kalispell Police Department received a report of panhandling on U.S. 93 North in Kalispell on Tuesday.
A woman called police saying that she had gained access to the inside of a Sixth Avenue East house and that someone had been dealing drugs from that location. She requested officers to come and test the house for drugs.
A woman on Barron Way said that a neighborhood boy, who is approximately 10 years old, keeps coming in her driveway and she has repeatedly told him he’s not allowed on her property.
A 21-year-old woman called police from Rockefeller Drive on Tuesday saying that her mother was trying to keep her from driving, and she wanted advice on whether or not that was legal.
Underage drinkers were kicked out of a bar on Woodland Park Drive.
An elderly woman was sleeping in a parked vehicle in a business lot at Third Avenue East North and an employee requested officers check on her early Wednesday morning.
A man called from West Utah Street around 2 a.m. Wednesday morning to report a theft. He said that someone had made off with his Craftsman tool box and tile saw from his carport, as well as a big basket and a large amount of hamburger.
