Events will benefit ski foundation

Three events are coming up to raise money for the Flathead Valley Ski Education Foundation.

Tim Hinderman will present a slide show with highlights from his Mexico-to-Banff mountain-bike ride at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, at the Mountain Trails Saddle Club in Whitefish. Beer, wine and snacks will be served. Admission is free. Donations will be accepted.

Warren Miller’s film “No Turning Back” will be screened Oct. 24 and 25 at the O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish.

His 65th film since 1949 will feature Greece, Japan, Switzerland, France, Norway, Montana, Alaska and Colorado. Selected shorts will be shown at 6:30 p.m. with the feature film starting at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets will also available at area retailers and at the door.

The 10th annual Showcase of the Chefs “Remembering the ‘80s” gourmet dinner, wine tasting and auction will take place Friday, Nov. 7, at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake. Doors open at 6 p.m. Advance tickets are $75 and will be available at the lodge starting Oct. 13. Tickets at the door will be $85.
