HELENA — Fifth-ranked Flathead rebounded from Friday’s 3-2 loss to No. 3 Helena Capital by sweeping Helena High 29-27, 25-20, 25-22 on Saturday afternoon.

Both were Western AA volleyball matches.

“We had a slow start in the first game,” Flathead coach Leon Wilcox said.

“We looked kind of tired and got down pretty quick. We spent most of the time clawing our way back. We won a see-saw battle.”

Wilcox said Flathead had leads in the next two sets, “but couldn’t quite shut the door on them like we wanted to. We weren’t as sharp as we could be.”

Flathead still won the final two sets for the sweep.
