Golf: Libby's Cielak wins C-Falls Golf Invite with 67

WEST GLACIER — Libby’s Jonny Cielak edged out Columbia Falls’ Gabe Love by two strokes to win the individual title at the Coulmbia Falls Golf Invitational at Glacier View Golf Course on Tuesday.

Cielak shot a 67 to finish two-under-par, leading the Loggers to a first-place finish.

Luke Adamson’s 73 was good enough for third place, as the Loggers, 333, held off the Wildcats, 373.

Connor Ingraham, 81, Bridger Alm, 82, Jesse Walburn, 84, and Cole Ashby, 85, led the way for the Whitefish JV squad.

Tristen Steinwand shot an 86 for the Wildcats to round out the top 10.

The girls’ tournament was dominated by Browning. The Indians had the top three finishers in the field to beat the second place Columbia Falls Wildkats.

Summer Kennerly shot an 81 for the individual title.

Ashley Trueblood, 95, finished in a three-way tie for fourth place overall and was the highest Wildkat finisher in the field. She was joined by teammates Ali Gould, 96, and Kerry Lanners, 108 in the top 10.

Tying Trublood’s 95 were Browning’s Ranessa Skunkcap and Libby’s Lily Feeback.

Feedback was the highest finisher for the Lady Loggers. Hanna Stewart tied for eight with a 102 to help Libby’s effort.

The Wildkats beat Whitefish’s JV squad as well as the Libby Lady Loggers.
