HD6 candidate lays out his platform
My name is Dave Fischlowitz. I am a Democratic candidate for House District 6 in the upcoming November election and have been busy in our district meeting with its residents and visiting its local businesses.
While most people I’ve met with have shared a variety of interests and concerns, we tend to agree on several things:
Our valley is culturally, economically and sustainably healthier when we have the ability to harvest and buy local meat, local vegetables, local milk, local wood and locally manufactured weapons. This health absolutely depends on our purchasing decisions and state policies that promote buying “Made in Montana.”
Keeping public schools innovative and student-centered with more professional development for teachers and better buildings.
Because we live in such a special, beautiful place, Montanans, not private interests, must maintain ownership of our public lands where we recreate, hunt and renew our spirits.
Corporations are not people! Our First Amendment right of freedom of speech is being abused by corporations at the expense of our democracy. We want leadership that reflects Montanans’ values, not outside corporate interests.
As your representative of House District 6, I will work to promote “Made in Montana” products, keep our schools strong, keep ownership of our public lands in public hands, and support leadership that reflects Montana values.
I would appreciate your vote in November. —Dave Fischlowitz, Whitefish
