Colton Becker had two goals to lead the Glacier Wolfpack to a tie with visiting Missoula Sentinel.
Glacier (6-1-2, 3-1-2) fell behind 2-0 after Sentinel’s Dylan Leadbetter assisted Thomas Stevens in the 19-minute before netting a penalty kick with four minutes left in the first half.
The Wolfpack would rally as Becker scored his first goal nearly a minute after Leadbetter’s. Then, in the final minute of the first half, Kade Deleray’s unassisted finish tied the game going into the break.
“The heart that they showed to come back and level the game in the final few minutes of the first half was incredible,” Glacier coach Ryan Billiet said.
“It totally shifted the run of play in our favor.”
Deleray assisted on Becker’s second goal in the 67-minute and the Wolfpack held its first lead.
Sentinel controlled the possession for most of the second half, which lead to Todd Thayer’s equalizer with roughly eight minutes left to play.
“Sentinel came back in the second half and it was pretty level,” Billiet said. “After we finished our go-ahead goal, Sentinel really took over the possession. We had our hands full for sure. It was a solid effort from our back line. We deserved and earned that tie.”
