Florence E. Cowan, 95

Florence E. Cowan, 95, of Yellow Bay, passed away Sept. 26, 2014, at her home in Yellow Bay, surrounded by family.

Florence was born Dec. 20, 1918, in Edgar to Arch and Barbara (Miller) Taylor.

She was a member of the Edgar Methodist Church and the Yellow Bay Women’s Auxiliary.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Phil; one sister; and four brothers.

She is survived by two children, son Richard “Dick” Cowan, and daughter Sylvia Berkram; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 29 at the Yellow Bay Clubhouse, located just a mile south of her home. There will be a meal to follow. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home in Kalispell. Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Rockvale Cemetery near Edgar.
