Football roundup: White leads Eureka past T-Falls
EUREKA — Garrett White rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns to carry Eureka to a 30-16 District 7B football victory over Thompson Falls on Friday night.
Whitefish scored on a 6-yard run in the opening quarter and on a 48-yard jaunt in the fourth quarter.
He registered 21 carries on the night.
Matthew Anderson had 15 carries for 56 yards and Eureka QB Austyn Sherwood had 12 totes for 56 yards. Sherwood also completed 4 of 11 passes for 58 yards.
Eureka’s top receiver was Michael Peterson with three receptions for 45 yards.
Eureka cornerback Chase Bohne had two interceptions and linebacker James Dunn had 16 tackles. Bohne returned one pick 40 yards.
Eureka (2-2 overall, 1-0 league) plays at Missoula Loyola on Friday.

Bigfork 43, Shelby 6
BIGFORK — Josh Sandry threw two touchdown passes and Vinny Quirk ran for two more as 10th-ranked Bigfork cruised past Shelby for an easy Class B nonconference homecoming victory.
Sandry was 11 of 16 passing for 208 yards.
Quirk rolled up 96 yards rushing on 26 attempts.
Isaac Martel hauled in four receptions for 107 yards.
Adam Jordt had four catches for 94 yards and two touchdowns.
Bigfork amassed 554 yards in total offense to just 31 for Shelby.
Defensively for Bigfork, Sandry, Jordt and Drew Jensen had one interception each. Shelby also lost a fumble.
Bigfork (3-1) opens District 7B play on Friday at Troy.

FRENCHTOWN — Gus Butler rushed for 184 yards and 16 attempts and had TD runs of 11, 2 and 28 yards to power Frenchtown to a Northwestern A victory.
Frenchtown (2-3, 1-0) led 35-7 at the half.
The Broncs had 314 yards on offense, all on the ground.
Polson (2-3, 0-1) had 260 yards on offense, but gave up three interceptions.
Scoring for Polson were Wyatt Ducharme, Jacob Clairmont and Bridger Rowley on runs.
Polson hosts Whitefish on Friday.
