Loggers spike Pirates in 3

POLSON — Libby held the upper hand in four of the five statistical areas in sweeping Polson 25-12, 25-23, 25-22 on Friday in Northwestern A volleyball play.

Polson (2-3 overall, 1-3 league) led in the final two sets, but Libby stormed back to win it in three.

“Libby played so hard,” Polson coach Jan Toth said. “We could not close.”

Libby (4-1, 2-1) held a big edge at the service line with 11 aces to none for Polson. Hailey Craig had six aces.

Libby last weekend won the Bonners Ferry, Idaho, Invitational Tournament. The Loggers rolled Priest River, Idaho, 25-21, 25-15 in the championship game.
