Record time for Makena Morley at Bob Firman Invitational cross country meet
BOISE, Idaho — Bigfork’s Makena Morley won the Bob Firman Invitational cross country meet on Saturday at Eagle Island State Park with a course record time.
Morley, a senior, finished the 5k race in 17 minutes, 24.6 seconds. She was competing in the Elite Division, which had 114 high school runners.
Lucy Biles of Herriman, Utah, was second in 17:42.9.
Bigfork freshman Bryn Morley was fourth, 17:51.9.
Bigfork junior Logan Morley finished 69th out of 130 runners in the boys Elite Division with a time of 16:52.2. Conner Mantz of Sky View, Utah, had the winning time, 14:51.3.
Makena Morley, Biles and Mantz are Gatorade Cross Country Athlete of the Year for their respective states.
