Rustlers whip Flathead
Karl Tucker II scored four first-half touchdowns and added another in the third quarter as third-ranked C.M. Russell whipped Flathead 44-14 in Class AA football action Friday night at Memorial Field.
CMR (4-1) missed a field goal on its opening possession, but scored TDs the next five times it had the ball to blow the game open.
Flathead (2-3) trailed 35-7 at the half.
Scoring touchdowns for Flathead were Easton Johnson on a 6-yard pass from Alex Croymans and Josh McCracken on a 67-yard run.
McCracken had 114 yards rushing on 13 carries. Johnson was 6 of 19 passing for the Braves for 135 yards.
CMR outgained Flathead 419 yards to 283.
Andrew Grinde led CMR’s ground game with 143 yards on 16 attempts. He scored on a 69-yard burst.
Flathead, losers of two straight, host second ranked and undefeated Helena High next Friday.
Helena High beat Billings Skyview 27-14 on Friday.
