Beverly Geddes Paullin, 82
Oh! The places she has been, and the things Bev has done!
We celebrate the incredible life of Beverly Paullin who passed away Sept. 29, 2014. She has lived in eight states, made 14 places home, traveled to all parts of the world — from Greece and all points in Europe to the tip of South America. Along the way, she raised three great kids and as everyone knows, stayed passionately in love with her husband, Hal.
Talk to anyone that has known Beverly and they will tell you how bright and engaging she was. She practiced as a certified public accountant with a sharpness and professionalism right up to her recent illness. While the cascading health problems took all of us by surprise, we want all who knew Beverly to remember the fun and good times we shared with her! Raise a glass of wine and toast to a life well lived! She would like that.
Beverly was born in Ponca, Neb., on April 23, 1932. She spent her early years in Kalispell where she married Harold in 1950. Mark was born in Kalispell, and Pam in the Dalles, Ore. The family lived in Los Angeles, and San Juan, Puerto Rico, before settling in Charlotte, N.C. Patrick was born in Charlotte. Beverly completed her undergraduate degree at University of North Carolina-Charlotte and eventually taught principals of accounting there. Harold and Beverly operated their CPA partnership for many years in Charlotte, and continued after moving to Kiawah, and then on to Savannah.
Beverly was an avid fitness buff. For many years she ran daily, participated in numerous marathons and 10Ks, often winning her age class! Many of you know Bev from her daily workout at the Landings fitness center. She loved to cook, drink wine and travel.
She has been preceded in death by her mother, “Mayme” Stuart Geddes; her father, S. Reed Geddes; her sister and brother, Yvonne and Eddy; and her daughter, Pamela Jo Paullin Finberg.
