Charles B. Jeffries, 63

Charles B. Jeffries, 63, died on March 26, 2015, from COPD and lung cancer. 

He graduated from Dawson County High School in 1970 and attended Dawson Community College for one year before enlisting in the Army. As a youth, Charles loved baseball, hunting and fishing. As an adult he liked to play poker and keno.

After an honorable discharge from the Army, Charles worked at Montana State Prison and Warm Springs. He then went to work on the railroad. Charles became disabled and spent many years in poor health.

Preceding Charles in death include his son, Charles B. “CB” Jeffries Jr., his parents Charlie F. and Betty M. Bullock Jeffries, and brother Gene Jeffries. Charles’ niece Kimberly Lance and nephew Robert Jeffries also preceded him in death.

Surviving Charles are daughter, Heather Jeffries, of Billings; and siblings, Mary Jeffries Lance and husband Ric, Shirley Jeffries Hegel and husband John, all of Columbia Falls, and Andy Jeffries of Kalispell. Charles also leaves many nieces and nephews and cousins.

Charles expressed wishes to have memorials or donations given to the veterans pantry or any youth baseball program.
