Delores Mollberg (then)

Delores Mollberg, 93, of West Glacier, passed away at her home March 25, 2015.

She was born in 1922 in Great Falls to Emil and Mary Schultz. She was raised on a farm in Dutton.

She had four brothers, Ben and Pete, both deceased, Dick and Betty of Rexford, and Bob and Pauline of Great Falls; two sisters, Wilma, and little sister Phyliss “Geraldine,” both deceased.

Delores went to grade school and high school in Dutton. She met and then married a Canadian George Mollberg; they had three sons, Dennis of Centralia, Washington, Lonnie of Idaho Falls, and Bruce of West Glacier. Delores has four grandchildren, Romona, Michelle, Sean G. and Margret Mollberg, and Janet; and four great-grandchildren, Emma, Zoe, Maggie, Marcus G. and Jordan.

The family spent the ‘60s and ‘70s in Havre, running the Buttrey’s Coffee shop and she was very happy there. An old friend from Havre said she was the nicest person he ever knew. Another dear friend started a “Happy Book” and the first person in the book was Delores. A nurse of 30 years said she was her favorite patient.

Driving down the middle of Montana, Mom said, “Looks like we’re gonna get a big storm,” then only just one rain drop fell.

Delores had a big and open heart. She loved her church, friends, family, playing bridge, Montana and enjoyed a full life. She left a trail of beauty, love and wonderful pies.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated June 20 at St. Richard’s Catholic Church in Columbia Falls.

Donations can be sent to St. Richard’s Catholic Church and Home Options Hospice.

Columbia Mortuary is caring for Delores’ family.
