Call considered 'possibly alien invasion'

A dispatcher returned a 911 hang-up call to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office and heard “mechanical speaker sounds.” In a temporary bout of humor, the dispatcher noted “possibly alien invasion.” Thorough work means you can’t rule anything out.

Some apparently sassy teenage girls flipped off and cussed at a person who asked them where their parents were. The ridiculed party called the Sheriff’s Office and made a report.

A Columbia Falls resident called with new information on a stolen iPad case from 2014.

With spring break ongoing, underage parties were reported on Iowa and Colorado avenues. The Whitefish Police Department didn’t find evidence to support these reports, but kids can be sneaky.

A girl was reportedly walking around Fifth Avenue West North and threatening to beat up a 13-year-old girl. The Kalispell Police Department met and counseled the 13-year-old’s mother.

Some youths were “aggravating squirrels” outside the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce office.

In perhaps some sort of treasure hunt, a man reportedly placed a flashlight onto a tree near U.S. 93 South. Police found the flashlight and noted that it contained papers.

A woman was hit in the face at the U.S. 93 North restaurant and, according to the report, suffered a broken phone.

Four semi-trucks were parked in a lot on U.S. 93 South without permission. Police advised them to keep on truckin’ to another location.

A man was reported to be drunk and clutching a vodka bottle while in view of a day care on First Avenue East.

Reports of drug activity to the Columbia Falls Police Department didn’t seem entirely trustworthy. When dispatch asked why the caller thought there was activity on Second Avenue East, the caller said “there just is.” Police were unable to locate any suspects.
