Flathead Valley Job Fair coming April 16

Area job seekers and community members considering a career change will have an opportunity to network with over 70 employers that are actively seeking applicants for current job openings at the 2015 Flathead Valley Job Fair. 

Presented by Flathead Valley Community College and the Flathead Job Service, the event will be Thursday, April 16, in the Arts & Technology building on the FVCC campus.

Veterans and their families will be given exclusive access to the event from 3 to 3:30 p.m. 

The event will be open for the general public from 3:30 to 7 p.m.

Sponsored by the Daily Inter Lake, Express Employment Professionals, Kalispell Regional Healthcare, Synergy, TeleTech, Welcov Healthcare plus KOFI, The Monster and The Lake radio stations, the event will be free and open to the public.

The job fair is geared toward people seeking full-time, part-time or seasonal employment. Job seekers are encouraged to dress professionally, bring copies of their resumes and be prepared to be interviewed.

In addition to the employer booths, job fair participants also will be given the opportunity to learn about apprenticeship programs and visit with job training organizations. 

New this year, the Consortium for Healthcare Education Online Project at FVCC and PlanYourHealthCareer.org will sponsor the Job Seeker Support Center, where job seekers can meet with a career coach, receive career readiness support, take career interest assessments and complete online applications for current job openings. 

In addition, J2 Office Products of Kalispell will provide a free copy machine for job seekers to make copies of their application materials.

All job fair parking will take place at the Kidsports Complex across U.S. 93 from the college off of Four Mile Drive. Free shuttle service will be provided by Montana Trolley Co. and FVCC. Job fair participants who use the shuttle service will be given a dollar-off coupon to Campus Grounds at FVCC, good for the day of the event.
