LETTER: Glaciers and climate

In the Aug. 9 letter by Mary Ann Garvey about this year being so dry, she claims it is due to global warming, then she reminds us the Flathead Valley was formed by limestone from “glaciers.”

Of course, the glaciers that caused this had to be melting. This could happen only by the Earth’s temperature rising. Was this due to man-made global warming? I think not as there were either very few or no humans at all on the Earth at that time. So much for man-made global warming! —Dexter Hamilton, Kalispell
