Please, don't take our red buses

There was a report of a theft from a work vehicle on U.S. 2. Some tools were stolen, and the vehicle reportedly contained the keys to all of Glacier Park’s red buses. Sheriff Chuck Curry of the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a key ring containing 33 keys was taken. The ring included keys to the park’s red buses.

A driver reported a reckless vehicle that cut her off on U.S. 2. She was able to visually measure six inches of space between her car and the offending vehicle.

Three people reported an alleged assault on Montana 35. Deputies investigated and found that there was a disturbance, but reports of an assault were unfounded.

A Montana 35 business manager called to complain about transient camps in the area. Deputies found that the camp was on private property and the campers had permission to be there.

A Rose Crossing resident said that a neighbor had cut down some tree branches, which fell and hit the resident’s car. The two were feuding about it, but a deputy noted only a small scratch.

Deputies cited a man for stealing beer from a U.S. 2 business.

One vehicle owner on Plummers Lake Drive felt that someone tried to siphon fuel out of his vehicle. He felt this way because a hose was left dangling from the fuel receiver.

A woman on Hodgson Road said that her boyfriend temporarily locked her in the closet. She ultimately didn’t file a complaint.

Over on U.S. 93 North, a woman said that her father side-swiped her car with a truck and then threw an insurance card at her.

An apparently intoxicated person needed to be removed from a train that stopped in Whitefish.

Someone on Kings Way said that a vehicle pulled over in the area. Then two people stepped out and argued loudly about being too drunk to drive. Deputies searched the area.

Dispatch received an apparent accidental call on the 911 line. According to the report, it sounded like two people having adult relations.

 

A “newer” employee didn’t make it to work at a Karrow Avenue business, which asked the Whitefish Police Department to check on her. The employee turned out to be OK — just late.

After a man gave a woman his business card, he reportedly flashed his genitals on Wisconsin Avenue. The woman reported this to the police.

There was a report of a man kicking nurses on Hospital Way.

A semi truck was reportedly stuck between structures near Park Avenue. Responders worked to unload its contents.

 

A computer and phone were reported stolen from a 13th Street West building, according to the Columbia Falls Police Department.

There was a report of an elderly lady walking outside near Diane Road, holding a gun with her finger on the trigger. 

In an apparent accidental call to the dispatch center, a person could be heard ordering fast food.

There was a parked van on First Avenue West that “terrified” at least one woman by its mere presence.

 

The Kalispell Police Department received a report of someone “smoking something” inside a car on Third Avenue East. An officer caught up with the car and the plates came up as stolen. The driver was cited.

Someone reportedly witnessed a “shaggy dog” kill a duck near Woodland Park Drive.

A fight broke out on Seventh Avenue East. Several men and dogs were at the scene.

An employee at a West Idaho Street business called the police to report a man in the bushes.

A deceased seagull was seen on a West Center Street sidewalk.

Some items and a license plate were taken from a vehicle on U.S. 93 South. The back window was reportedly broken out.

One Third Street West resident complained that a neighbor’s cat kept defecating on his lawn, and kids keep setting off his motion sensor lights.

A vehicle owner who previously reported the car stolen from Charlotte Avenue had found it elsewhere in town.

Someone sold a car to a person who was making payments. That person died prior to completing the payments, according to a report. The deceased person’s daughter took over the vehicle and hasn’t continued paying.

Police received third-party information that a man’s car was stolen from U.S. 93 North. The car contained the man’s identification and gun. When trying to call back, police found the number to be non-working.

A man was seen hanging around a U.S. 93 South business and pointing to the sky, among other “odd hand gestures.” Police recognized him from a previous vagrancy call.

While on the phone with police dispatch, a man threatened to kill a barking dog on East Oregon Street. He later apologized.

Someone called the police while following an apparently stolen van. They stayed on its tail until officers took over and arrested two women near North Main Street.

A woman was creeped out by a man near U.S. 93 who reportedly said that he rented the “whole side of the building” where a restaurant sits. He was also seen “looking at the floor” weirdly.
