Sheep Fire

The Sheep Fire burns Thursday afternoon as viewed from the entrance road to the Izaak Walton Inn in Essex. As the fire rained embers on U.S. 2, the highway was closed to through traffic at 3 p.m. The nearby BNSF Railway main line also was closed due to the approaching flames.
