| August 22, 2015 9:19 PM

Jean E. (Rendahl) Driscoll, 81, passed away peacefully at home on Aug. 16, 2015.

Jean was born on June 12, 1934, in Burley, Idaho. She was the third of five children born to Kenneth and Mary (Wagner) Rendahl. She graduated from Presentation Catholic Girls High School, San Francisco, class of 1952.

On Oct. 31, 1953, she married the love of her life William P. Driscoll at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in San Francisco. They were married for 61 years. They moved to Whitefish June 1970 with six children and soon after had their seventh child.

Jean was a dedicated homemaker. Family and friends were always welcome around her table to enjoy a delicious meal that she loved serving. As a skilled seamstress, there was an abundance of everything from custom clothing to repairs. They say if you want something done, ask a busy person. Jean fit this description. Being well organized, she found time to volunteer at North Valley Hospital, take in ironing and alterations for people and be an active member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Whitefish.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Colleen Reimer; sisters, Katherine Herbertson and Vera Zinn.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Driscoll, and six children, Michael and Marilyn Driscoll, Kathi and Mark Cronrath, Donna and Doug Bost, Brian and Dawn Driscoll, Bill and Mary Driscoll, Elaine and Jim Kennedy as well as 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

There will be a rosary service 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, at Austin Funeral Home. A memorial mass will be 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24, at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Whitefish. A luncheon will follow.

We will forever remember her for her nurturing love and inspiring example of how to live our lives.

Austin Funeral Home is caring for Jean’s family.
