Whitefish moving out of City Hall

| August 25, 2015 9:00 PM

Today is the last day the city of Whitefish will occupy the City Hall building.

City offices are open through 5 p.m.. By 8 a.m. Thursday, city employees will be located in a temporary office building at 1005 Baker Ave. in Stampede Square.

“Nothing ever goes as planned and we are changing out our telephone system as part of the same move, so we are hoping for cooperation from CenturyLink and Charter,” Whitefish City Manager Chuck Stearns said in an advisory email.

Departments located in the temporary space include the city clerk, utility billing, city manager, administration, city attorney, public works and fire marshal. City Council meetings also will be held at the new location.

The current City Hall, built in 1917, will be demolished to make way for a new City Hall and accompanying parking structure.
