LETTER: Did Trump forget to seek punishment of employers of illegal immigrants?

I notice the Trumpster ignores what is probably the best way to reduce illegal immigration — punish their employers. I would suggest any employer of 25 or more undocumented immigrants in two fiscal years be prosecuted for running an ongoing criminal enterprise.

Of course this would send Trump, who according to the Washington Post employs lots of undocumented workers, off to prison. His use of Chinese steel in his buildings and having his clothing manufactured by Vietnamese children even as he condemns these countries should qualify him for an extended vacation from civilization anyway.

That said, his endorsement of the Disclose Act and raising taxes on hedge fund managers and banksters is brilliant and his calls for greatly expanded infrastructure spending should be heeded by the Republican Congress. It’s sad that he’s the only “conservative” who believes in investing in America. —Bob Petersen, Evergreen
