LETTER: Flat Earth and the global society

Recently Obama gave a speech and he said that he did not have time for the Flat Earth Society. And I am trying to understand what society he is talking about. Is he talking about the International Flat Earth Research Society? Is he talking about the Flat Earth Society? Or is he talking about the United Nations?

There are different kinds of ideas but only one idea is allowed to be taught in public schools. Why is that? I think it is because we all are supposed to be brainwashed members of the global society. But then look at the United Nations flag and see a representation of a flat Earth. It is the same image that people use when illustrating a flat Earth except that Antarctica is missing and the map is divided into 33 pieces of pie. —Bev Kato, Kalispell
