LAW ROUNDUP: Woman's car is 'slimed'

A woman on Eighth Avenue East North called 911 to report that someone threw “white slime” on her car. She said she has had ongoing problems with criminal mischief and that the people responsible for the criminal activities had “killed her cat too.”

A man, possibly on Eighth Avenue East North, told Columbia Falls Police Department that someone was in his home shooting at him with guns. The man was described as slurring his words. The man also said the people had kicked the door in. The man couldn’t provide his address. While police attempted to track his location he hung up.

A father on Darlene Road called officers after he went to pick up his teen daughter and that the mother wouldn’t give her to him. The daughter reportedly sent him a video of her mother, his ex-wife, screaming at her. The perturbed father said a woman stepped outside the house, glared at him and went back inside. It later turned out to be a misunderstanding and that the father would pick up the daughter from a parade.

Someone on Franlou Park Lane was suspicious of a man sitting in front of their house and playing loud music allegedly for about an hour.

Someone ready for ski season on Darlene Road found their missing snowboard gear, not misplaced as originally thought, but allegedly stolen and for sale at a pawn shop.


A man was prompted to call Whitefish Police Department after discovering a very inebriated woman sleeping in the backseat of his parked car on Central Avenue. After the man told her to get out, the woman decided to lie down in the parking lot.

A bar employee on Central Avenue called police when a group of men refused to leave the scene after fighting.

Someone on Central Avenue wanted police to give the owner of a vehicle parked in a handicap parking spot a warning because the vehicle did not have a handicap placard or license plates.


Whitefish Fire Department responded to a chimney fire on Wolverine Trail.
