LETTER: Nazis provide model for how to 'register' people who are 'threats'

Several candidates have suggested a register for American Muslims. If we want a model, the Nazis had this down. They registered those who might be considered a threat to the safety and traditions of the Aryan race.

They registered Jews, Gypsies, gays, anyone publicly critical of the regime, plus anyone appearing suspicious (slippery slope). You can imagine how helpful this was when the time came to round up candidates for the trip to the ovens. —Robert O’Neil, Kalispell
