Church in Columbia Falls burglarized

A person called Columbia Falls Police to report that a church on Second Avenue East North was burglarized. Money was taken from collection jars, and alcohol receipts and cigarette butts were found in the building. A smell of alcohol had also permeated the building.

A person called and advised officers that he or she had hit a stop sign and knocked it over on Ninth Street West. The person left the scene. The county road department was notified.

A man on Spring Creek Trail reported that he had loaned his brother video games, and the brother pawned the items.


Flathead County Sheriff’s Office responded to North Cedar Drive after a man reported that his home had been shot with a sticky substance. A few other houses in the neighborhood had been egged.

A storage unit was broken into on South Complex Drive.

A truck was reported stolen from First Avenue South in Hungry Horse, but upon further investigation, the incident appeared to be a dispute over partial payment for the car.

Parcels left on a porch for a carrier service on Bill Road in Lakeside were opened up. Items were taken, according to the homeowner.


Kalispell Police took a report from Second Street West where a man reported that his tires had been stolen in October. The tires had allegedly reappeared — on a neighbor’s car.

A man was questioned and released after a business on Second Avenue East reported that the man had tried to alter a check for $500.

A woman on Appleway Drive asked for an officer after she found a transient sleeping on her porch. The woman tried to wake the man up, but was unsuccessful. When an officer called back a half-hour later the woman reported that the man had disappeared.

A man on Third Avenue East was advised of how to seek an order of protection after another man called and threatened to kill him.

A woman was told to move along after she allegedly became obnoxious and refused to leave a business on U.S. 93. She also allegedly threw objects at a customer in the parking lot of the business.


Whitefish Police arrested a man on Baker Avenue after someone reported that the man had not left the premises when asked. The man allegedly smelled, was wrapped in a blanket, and was trespassing.

A woman was removed from a house on Park Avenue after it was reported that she drank three bottles of wine, huffed some aerosols, and kicked another person. She was transported to the hospital.

A hotel on Spokane Avenue asked that a woman’s belongings be removed after she allegedly called for a pizza delivery and stiffed the delivery man for $21.
