Frederick Herrig

Frederick Herrig is pictured on the front porch of his Fortine home during his retirement years. He met Theodore Roosevelt in the Badlands of North Dakota and served with Roosevelt's Rough Riders during the Spanish-American War. Herrig was one of the first forest rangers in Northwest Montana.
