Billings police find body of woman

BILLINGS (AP) — Police in Billings have found the body of a 57-year-old woman in an alley downtown.

Billings Police Sgt. Ronda Fox issued a statement saying police and emergency crews had been dispatched to an alley Saturday morning to check on a report of a sick or injured person.

The Billings Gazette reports that officers found the dead woman at the scene.

Fox says the woman was not dressed appropriately for the frigid temperatures and that alcohol may have been a factor in her death. 

Fox says the death does not appear to be suspicious.
