Whitefish has power outage

An issue at an electrical substation caused a power outage in Whitefish on Saturday night. 

About 1,200 people in the Whitefish area, including downtown, lost power at about 7:35 p.m., according to Wendy Ostrom Price with Flathead Electric. 

“We’re trying to figure it out,” she said. “Typically we’re able to restore power within a couple of hours, but we haven’t identified the problem yet so I’d hate to speculate.”
