Man concerned about being attacked

A man came into the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office lobby saying he was going to be attacked by several people or as many as 100 people. He didn’t seem sure. He had a marijuana pipe in his pocket.

A woman on Shady Dog Trail in Kalispell called to warn that her husband had a loaded gun and was going to a neighbor’s house. Officers arrived and found the man with no gun at the end of his driveway. The caller did not have any injuries despite her claims of abuse. No one was cited, but everyone was told to chill out.

A Coram man called law enforcement asking for help, as he was self-medicating with alcohol and was massively depressed. He was given numbers for mental health help and was urged to call them.

A chef at a restaurant in Bigfork was reportedly “throwing a fit” and destroying things in the building. He had allegedly been drinking and his rampage had scared customers away. He tried throwing away the things he had broken and his wife came to pick him up.


The Kalispell Police Department took a call from a Sixth Avenue West man who was concerned that his neighbor was selling weed out of his apartment. The man had kids and was worried about the type of people constantly coming in and out of the building.

An Empire Loop man called because he wanted a woman to leave his house but she would not do so. Her daughter was reportedly outside in a vehicle revving the engine. When law enforcement contacted back, the woman and her daughter were en route to another location.


The Whitefish Police Department took a call from a Cedar Street man who had things taken out of his unlocked vehicle, including a bowling ball.

A business owner on U.S. 93 called police about a group of men with Alberta plates camping out in his parking lot. They had allegedly been asked to leave yesterday, but decided to stick around.

A Copperwood Court resident called about a missing Pomeranian. She believed her neighbor had something to do with the dog’s disappearance. But it could have just been lost in a snow drift.


The Columbia Falls Police Department took a call from a man on Ninth Street West who had a handgun stolen from his vehicle.

A Second Avenue East North resident reportedly followed tracks from his front door around the corner and found two boys. He believed they had been trying to get into his house.


The West Valley and Creston fire departments responded to two seperate chimney fires, one on Wendt Way and the other on Whitetail Meadows Road.
