Child sex abuse suspect faces trial

A 31-year-old man accused of sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl is heading to trial next week.

Jared Ray Trujillo, a Kalispell resident, has pleaded not guilty to sexual assault.

According to court documents, a source close to Trujillo alerted police to the alleged abuse. Another source stepped forward and told police that Trujillo admitted “inappropriate” acts with the child.

He has been released from jail on the condition that he doesn’t contact children.

Trujillo’s jury trial is set to begin Monday at 9 a.m. in Flathead County District Court.
