OPINION: Plan to rewrite history is latest politically correct foolishness

I can’t believe the incredibly stupid reaction to the photo with the Confederate flag. I suppose those people want to eliminate all of the Civil War memorials as well and rewrite American history.

While they are at it, let’s stop celebrating the new year on January 1 because it will offend the Chinese; let’s stop Groundhog Day because it will offend the animal rights activists; let’s stop celebrating Presidents Day because it will offend people who aren’t presidents; let’s stop celebrating St. Patrick’s Day because it will offend the Protestant Irish; lets stop celebrating April Fools’ day, oh no! that’s their day...

But let’s stop Mother’s Day because it will offend non-mothers; let’s stop Flag Day because it will offend all the other countries; let’s stop celebrating Father’s Day because it will offend the non-fathers; let’s stop celebrating Independence Day because it will offend the British; let’s stop celebrating Labor Day because it will offend the unemployed; let’s stop celebrating Nordic Fests and Oktoberfests because it will offend the non-Scandinavians and non-Germans; let’s stop celebrating Thanksgiving because it will offend the unthankful; let’s stop celebrating Hanukkah because it will offend the non-Jews; and let’s stop celebrating Christmas because it will offend the non-Christian.
