Arnold L. Riebe, 81

Arnie passed away peacefully June 14, 2015, in the Marie Rose Center at Mary’s Woods at Marylhurst, in Lake Oswego, Oregon.

Arnie was born Jan. 23, 1934, in Kalispell. He graduated from Flathead County High School in 1952, and Washington State University with a degree in civil engineering in 1956, and pursued a career in building dams and power stations all over the world. The highlight of his career was being project manager of the High Island Water Scheme in Hong Kong. A passion for construction led him to job sites in Greece, Ceylon, the Philippines, Thailand and England, plus in many U.S. states (Washington, California, Michigan, Colorado, Arizona and New Jersey).

Arnie is survived by his wife, Marian; children, Michelle and Davis and Andrew and Danner; brother, Allen; and grandchildren, Brendan, Sian and Leila.

Arnie was preceded in death by his son, Kevin, in 1983.

At Arnie’s request no memorial is planned, however a private life celebration has been held.
