No such thing as a free trailer

A Sixth Avenue West man in the process of moving had a box of free items near a pull trailer. A group of four young men allegedly came and tried to take the trailer before a neighbor stopped them. They explained the free sign near the trailer made it look as if the trailer was also free. The neighbor wanted the information logged by the Kalispell Police Department.

An employee at a gas station called the police to report a 300-pound blonde woman screaming and smoking a cigarette at the gas pumps. The employee had seen her there before holding signs but was sure she “wasn’t all there.”

A group of 10 people were reportedly engaged in a brawl on East Idaho Street. Several girls and several men were hitting each other. The caller wasn’t sure how the confrontation began but he surmised they had been drinking. All parties were counseled.

A woman was in front of a Mexican restaurant on U.S. 93 allegedly yelling profanities at cars and pedestrians. She passed out in the street.

People fighting outside a house on First Avenue East-North quickly called an ambulance after one of the brawlers was bear sprayed. The man was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.


A woman called the Whitefish Police Department after her service dog took off chasing the woman’s roommate on Baker Avenue and didn’t come back.

A Baker Avenue resident called police to report someone impersonating a police officer earlier in the day.

A Park Avenue resident called about a party at his neighbor’s house. The neighbor had left on vacation for a month so he wasn’t sure who was hosting the soiree.


A Seventh Street West resident called the Columbia Falls Police Department after water started seeping through the ground and drowning the lawn. It reportedly threatened to submerge the vehicles. The water was shut off at the residence.

A construction site on 13th Street West caused trouble as winds began breaking off large chunks of styrofoam. The chunks were hitting cars and causing a hazard.
