OPINION: An 'early' criticism of the deal with Iran

I am starting this letter with the date on which it was written — April 21, 2015. Why begin this way? To make certain, regardless of the date of publication, that all my liberal friends finally understand how inept and transparent this administration is in this so called “deal” with Iran.

What supposedly began as a negotiation to stop Iran — not slow down, not put off for 10 years, not extend the break out time — from obtaining a nuclear weapon has now morphed into a deal, any deal, so Obama and Kerry can self-anoint themselves as the peace keepers of the century. And I am sure the liberal media and Democrat party will deliver for them.

Obama has made it quite clear that, to a large extent, the fighting in the Middle East is due to the evil United States meddling in other people’s business. If we had just stayed out of Iraq, everything would have been fine. But, of course, he didn’t leave those 10,000 troops in Iraq as he should have AND as he has decided to do in Afghanistan. Of course if Afghanistan falls apart after he leaves office if he pulls the remaining troops, he will blame it on the next president — that’s what he does — nothing is ever Obama’s fault.

Most of all, Obama wants us to understand that we are all sinners, as he said at the National Prayer Breakfast and Easter speeches. Why, just look at the Crusades and those nasty comments about Muslims by Christians today — at least before their heads were cut off. I don’t suppose they said a lot after that. He was probably just referring to Christians in the United States. Muslims are peaceful. Just listen to those loving chants of “Death to America.” Peaceful? Must be tough love. I know I’m just a crazy conspiracist, but I think there is a touch if not more Muslim in this president whom I have never seen photographed in a church... unless you count the Church of “God d**n America.”

As with Kerry’s failure to bully Israel into a lethal peace deal with the Palestinians who refused to acknowledge Israel’s right to exist (details, details), the quality and durability of the accord is unimportant. The only caveat is that the agreement must last until Kerry and Obama are recognized as great peace makers. And so we come to the Iran nuclear “deal.”

To fully appreciate the utter incompetence and duplicity of this pair, one must remember the history of this negotiation. The current talks (P5+1) have been ongoing for 9 years. The direction changed with Obama’s election since he abandoned U.S. and UN Security Council policy that Iran suspend nuclear enrichment as a condition for the talks to proceed. The current talks have been ongoing for over two years with the United States abandoning deadlines at least three times. The current “deadline” is June 30, 2015, and I will now predict the contents of “the deal.”

Despite repeated assurances from Obama and the Republican Congress to the contrary, we will suspend a majority if not all major sanctions on Iran at the time of signing or immediately afterward, not after inspections assure that they are complying. This will provide Iran with vast sums of money which they will use to help them take over the Middle East — Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon. Remember Iranians are Persians not Arabs. This may actually unite Jordan, Egypt and Israel and, perhaps, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates as none of them want a nuclear Iran.

Iran will not comply, will not allow inspections at all locations and on short notice, and will continue covert missile research and uranium enrichment. At best (remember Muslim domination of the world teaches patience) we will delay their obtaining a usable nuclear weapon capable of reaching Europe and the United States until after Obama and Kerry are praised for their great work and leave office. Whether it is February 2016 or February 2024 (the 10 years after which Obama claims he can keep their “break out time” to a year), Obama will blame the then current president for messing up his great accomplishment. (I don’t believe he will be able to blame this on President Bush, but he may try.)

And when the Iranians set off their first nuclear test explosion — perhaps on Israel — Democrats and Republicans will all shrug and declare them no threat to the mainland... until they are! After all, most Muslims are peaceful.
