Evelyn 'Eileen' Smith, 87

Evelyn "Eileen" Smith, 87, “went to be with the Lord” on July 6, 2015, in her Kalispell home.

Eileen was married to Jesse E. Smith in 1946, and they were married for almost 66 years, having two children. They moved from Iowa to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where they lived for more than 30 years. There, Eileen worked as a restaurant cook and a home health care provider.

In 1995, Eileen and Smitty moved to Kalispell to be near their daughter and grandchildren.

Eileen was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Lafe and Leone Culver; brother, Kenneth Culver; and sisters, Beverly Culver and Margaret Wallet.

Eileen is survived by her daughter, Kathy Collins, of Bigfork; son, Kerry Smith, of Colorado Springs; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
