Dolores 'Dode' Clatterbuck, 87

Dolores “Dode” Clatterbuck, 87, passed away July 14, 2015, at the Retreat in Polson.

Dode was born April 5, 1928, to Willie and Myrtle Johnson.

She graduated from high school and went to work in the shipyards as a welder for the World War II effort.  When the war was over she moved back to Montana and attended college in Havre. After that she was a teacher in Dayton. On December 31, 1946, she married Ted Clatterbuck. They had six children and over the years lived in Arlee, Missoula, Ovando, and Ronan. She was a cook for many years at various restaurants in the valley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Kay Trahan; granddaughter, Sally Jo Lambeth; sister, Lorraine Bauska, and brother Dale Johnson.

She is survived by her sister, Marion Young; children, Jo Durand, Vivien Lambeth, Sandy Huntley, Guy Clatterbuck, and Jim Clatterbuck. She had many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 25, at the Lake Funeral Home in Polson. A reception will follow at the Polson Senior Center. Dode’s beautiful, welcoming smile and sparkling blue eyes will be missed.
