Man found dead after house fire identified

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man found dead after an Evergreen house fire Saturday as Howard Wayne Poier, 57, of Kalispell.

Poier was reportedly the sole occupant of the residence.

The cause of Poier’s death is still pending and the cause and origin of the fire remains under investigation.
