Woman sentenced for fourth DUI

A 51-year-old Bigfork woman has been sentenced for her fourth DUI after crashing her car.

Stacey Lynn Gilliam was sentenced to 13 months of treatment and subsequent probation for a felony DUI charge. The hearing took place Thursday in Flathead County District Court.

According to court documents, Gilliam crashed her car on Nov. 20 on Montana 83. Gilliam was combative but admitted drinking alcohol.

Gilliam was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center, where she reportedly continued to be uncooperative.

Records showed that Gilliam was convicted of DUIs in 1995, 1996 and 2013.

For the fourth offense, she pleaded guilty on May 7. The sentence is in line with a plea agreement.

Flathead County Judge Robert B. Allison suspended half of Gilliam’s $1,000 fine and ruled that she will be allowed to drive with an ignition interlock system.
