LETTER: Thanks for uplifting story about Luskos

| July 22, 2015 9:00 PM

Although I have lived in the valley all of my life, you have never read my name in this opinion section of your newspaper.

I wish for the opportunity to express my appreciation for the article called “Through the eyes of a lion.” I have felt (I’m sure a lot of us have) there have been a few “Saturdays” in my life. Although nothing like the devastation of losing a child.

This story was encouraging and uplifting. It could have been one of sadness and despair. Never meeting the Lusko family, I would like to share my gratitude for sharing your story. I find going through hard times, that it’s hard to wait until “Sunday.” There is a need to know how to live above our circumstances.

What a great example you have shown by finding hope in a seemingly hopeless life event. I will be reading your new book. Monday’s article was a great headline story, unlike some that we read. Lynnette Hintze, I’ve never followed your writings until now, but will be watching. You’ve got my attention! —Linda Reynolds, Kalispell
